MTV announced the nominees for their 2023 VMAs earlier this week, because, yes, MTV still does the VMAs every year for some reason.

It should come as no surprise that Taylor Swift led all artists with eight nominations. In the Best Rock category, the nominees are Metallica (‘Lux Aeterna’), Foo Fighters (‘The Teacher’), Linkin Park (‘Lost’), Red Hot Chili Peppers (‘Tippa My Tongue’), Maneskin (‘The Loneliest’), and Muse (‘You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween’).

Nominees in the Best Alternative category include Blink-182 (‘Edging’), Fall Out Boy (‘Hold Me Like A Grudge’), and Thirty Seconds to Mars (‘Stuck’).

The 2023 MTV VMAs will be handed out on September 12th in New York City.
