It’s officially the end of the road, so to speak, for Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars.

According to a statement released by representatives for Mars, which was posted by Blabbermouth, the legendary guitarist is stepping away from his touring duties with the band, due to his ‘ongoing painful struggle with Ankylosing Spondylitis (A.S.).’

Former Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 is rumored to be filling Mars shoes, though no announcement has been made.

Mötley Crüe just announced that they would hit the road with Def Leppard again in 2023.
