OCTOBER 2024

TARA JACKSON, THIRD Grade

 MID VALLEY School District

“This is my 18th year in education. I love what I do! I started my teaching career at Howard Gardner School for Discovery in Scranton where I taught in a 5th and 6th grade multi-aged classroom for two years. In 2008 I moved to Arizona and taught 5th grade for three years. I then became a Gifted Resource Teacher for the district. In that role I was both a teacher and a mentor working with students and teachers throughout the district. After starting a family of my own, I moved back to the area and I was hired as the Gifted Coordinator and ESL Instructor for Montrose Area School District. For the past eight years, I have been teaching 3rd grade in my home district of Mid Valley. For the past 18 years, I have worked with hundreds of amazing children helping them to learn and grow, while they help me to learn and grow as well. “
